Chat won’t let me upload .MOV or .MP4
Well, I’m not that tech savvy. I have no idea how to make a “screen recording” of me doing this. It’s still happening even after 5.3.1 app update. It was working before the big UI Upgrade in Aug/Sep (not sure when it was now) and each new bug fix update has not resolved it. It’s ONLY my Dome 1080 camera. The outside camera works as expected on the SD Card History. I can view the history on my Laptop (not helpful when you are not at home) and taking the SD card out of the camera and viewing it in the laptop works as well. So history IS being recorded. It just can not be viewed.
Using IOS 15 (issue was there with IOS 14 as I recently upgraded)
What I have done to try to resolve this:
Signed out of app
Signed in again
Deleted App and set it up from scratch
Deleted App and installed Kami App
Back to Yi App
Removed camera from network and started again
Unplugged camera for 24 hours and restarted
Some of these I have done several times. With each new update, I also do these same actions hoping it gets fixed.
I really don’t know what else to do other than to trash this camera at this point. It is not helpful when I can not go back and look thorugh the history for the past 24 hours while not at home. At 12:01 am every day, this previous 24 hour history disappears from viewing on the app.
I would not be so annoyed by this if is was just being used as a nanny cam. This is the camera that caught someone in our home a couple of years ago so we like for it to be accessible via the app so we can get screen shots/videos to show law enforcement. It worked perfectly back then until the UI Update this summer.
The lasted update to 5.3.1 has also caused issue with enlarging the live feed on both our cameras. But that’s another issue.
Seriously, is there another set of cameras you would recommend since the Dome 1080p seems to not be working on your current UI upgrade???
Hey @Toobusy that sounds super frustrating. You definitely have tried a lot to get this resolved. I don’t believe it is on your end. But, a bug on ours. We have had trouble reproducing this in the past , which resulted in a delay of resolution. I have just received word, we have fixed this issue and currently doing thorough testing before we do another release. I will keep all posted. Your patience has been greatly appreciated.
Any update on the release for the fix?
I’m having this issue as well on my four cameras — “no video recorded on sd card”. This has worked well in the past. Hope there is a fix on the way…. Thanks
All my recordings have vanished without a trace. I haven’t plugged in that SD card yet to a PC to see what’s actually there as I’m away from home but even if they are still there, this is a major bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.

I’ve been having the same issue, except it happens randomly. The SD card just stops recording “No SD Card Video for this Activity” error message. My app is up to date as is firmware. I’ve reformatted multiple times and it works for a while then stops again. This seems to be a common problem
