That is very strange. Can you send a screenshot of the error message you receive when you try to record?
What phone & operating system do you have?
Is there an system setting that needs to be turned on to allow recording?
I’m using an iPhone 12 Pro
I’ve snapped a photo of the message the video was loading as I’m in a poor area for network but the error is still the same
Tbh I’ve had nothing but issues with the kami 1080p camera’s
I have a Yi 720p camera and it was bullet proof I’m in 2 minds to swap back
it looks like its trying to record a time lapse. Is that the issue @andybez or does this happen anytime you try to recored? That’s the error if im following correctly, it shouldn’t be in time lapse mode
No I don’t think it’s in time lapse. It’s now only recording the last 24 hours.
I might just have to call it a day with this kami camera, it’s more or less just junk
@Steven_Kami this is the third camera I’ve been sent and I finally thought this one worked. I’ve only had it a couple of months.
@Steven_Kami it is allowing me to record live footage, when I swap to anything recorded on the SD card I then get that message as above .
I have the same issue and have tried everything mentioned on theses posts and cannot get it to record? How do I get a replacement amera?
Also, I have purchased 5 cameras and this is the only one I am having issues with…help!

What is your camera model?
What is the error you receive?
Is it connecting to wifi?
How far is the camera from the router?
Are you recording to SD card or Cloud?

Hi - thanks for your reply. My camera model info is attached. It is a home camera 1080 p YYS? It connects to wifi and I can see live video but it doesn’t record to SD card. I do get the 6 second cloud videos but that’s it. I’ve tried everything on the blogs - delete and added camera, new class 10 SD card, reset camera, etc and still won’t record to SD card? I have 5 other camera and they work fine…?? Can you help? What else should I try or do? I really like the camera and reason I bought 5 on Amazon. Thanks so much!
Also, camera is close to router and connects no problem with wifi. The issue is that it does not record.
Hmm I think the best path forward would be to reach out to our customer support team and have them replace the 1 defective camera. Get rid of the headache of testing and just replace it. It sounds like you’ve been very thorough.

I agree. Since the update my cameras have not recorded correctly. Some do not even have the 6 second playback. Ive reformatted the SD cards…got new SD cards…nothing.

SOLVED*
Had smilar issue as most of you here, yi dome camera stopped recording for months, tried resetting, formatting the card throught the camera etc… nothing helped.
The solution that helped me was to take the card out from the camera, insert into a PC, format it and then inserting back into the camera, then formatting once again through the camera.
Seems that formatting option from the camera doesn’t work well (at least in some cases.)
