Yi 4k+ action cam does not turn on

Hi there.
I have a Yi 4k+ action cam (Model YAS.1817). It worked for about 2 years, but I didn’t use it a lot, so it’s like a new condition. Recently I tried to record some video footage in 4k, but the camera turned off and failed to turn on. After that, it somehow turned on a couple of times and showed the message: «trying to restore», then turned off again. And now it doesn’t turn on at all. I can’t turn it on nor from the battery, nor from the direct USB-C cable connection. There’s no light indicator, no sound.

  • I had the latest firmware installed 1.4.14
  • I have two new additional batteries, and it doesn’t turn on with them too.
  • I’ve tried multiple USB-C cables and it doesn’t work too.

What I’ve noticed is when I inject the battery it makes low volume constant clicky noise, like a bootloop?.

For me, it looks like a low-level firmware issue, and the camera is totally bricked. I heard it’s possible to reset camera with ELF files.

What can I do guys?

If I insert a type-c charge cable, clicky sound changes to a short beep, and then it becomes silent. See this sample:
