I can’t find on the app where I can change the WiFi network. Pls help if can. Can’t use cameras on new network. Thanks

Hi @JordonKeltz you will need to delete the cameras from the app then reset and pair them with the new WiFi name and password.

I am trying to get into my Kami app but it won’t let me so I am trying to create a new account but it says to tap to refresh code and when I do it does not do anything

Hi Robert, thanks for joining the forum. You don’t need to refresh the code unless the one you get is hard to read. But when you do tap inside the box with the 4 letters, it just does nothing?

I would recommend upgrading to the latest version of the Kami Home app. If you search for it in Google Play or the Apple App store you will be able to find the latest version. You could also try the YI Home app, as the two apps are interchangeable.

Will deleting my app to reset the cameras on a new WIFI network unsubscribe me from the cloud service we are paying for?

There are two scenarios for changing Wi-Fi on your Google Nest or Home device:-
Scenario 1:- Changing the Wi-Fi network name or password
If you’ve changed your home Wi-Fi network’s name or password, or replaced your router entirely, you’ll need to reconnect your Google Nest or Home device to the new network. Here’s how:-

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Locate the specific device you want to reconnect. Tap on its icon.
  3. In the device settings menu, scroll down and tap on “Wi-Fi”.
  4. Select “Forget network” to remove the old Wi-Fi information.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device on the new Wi-Fi network. This will involve selecting the new network name, entering the password, and potentially going through a setup process again.

Scenario 2:- Changing the password for your Google Wifi or Nest Wifi network
If you only want to change the password for your existing Google Wifi or Nest Wifi network (the network your Nest/Home devices are currently connected to), you can do that directly within the Google Home app. Here’s how:-

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
  2. Tap on “Favorites” in the top bar.
  3. Select “Wi-Fi” settings.
  4. Enter your existing Wi-Fi network password.
  5. Create a new, strong password for your network.
  6. Tap “Save” to confirm the changes.
