Unable to Share YI Home with family

Please can someone help … same issue

I have at the account up today on wife’s phone … camera working

Set up a new account for myself (same house and WiFi used etc)

And when scanning QR code it says “please check same location etc)

Tried Turning off and on
Tried logging in and out

No joy

Are you using Facebook or Apple to log into your account?

I signed up with our email address

@Pdchristal interesting indeed. Thats frustrating. I am sorry to see you’ve had some trouble.

You can also share your login information with your wife if you’d like to share your app with. They just download the yi or kami home app. and, login with your credentials.

Are the location services on your phone set to the correct place? Do you have location services turned off?

I recommend checking both of your location services.

I use Yi iot app and i want to use Yi Home app.
But when I connect it with my login I can’t find my camera.
Is this normal?

What brand of cameras are you using?

Yi or Kami cameras are the only ones which can use the Yi home app.

Yi camera home 1080p
I had to do all the setup again. Now it works :man_shrugging:t3:

Also QR code doesen’t work . Message: Please select the same location as tour friend

Thanks for sharing this screenshot @Simop and providing a little more detail as to the error message you are receiving.

What is your location? And, what is the location of the person you are trying to share access with?
Are you comfortable sharing your login credentials with the person you’re trying to share access with?

If you’d like, you can share you login credentials, and they can just login instead of sharing via the app.

Either way, we will get this figured out!

It is my wife. therefore all from Italy. I tried to access the app with my credentials from her phone but the cameras are not displayed.

What is the phone model and operating system for both you and your wife?

Also, which app are using? Yi Home or Kami Home?

Hi Steven! Well, i solved the problem!! I have uninstalled the app in my phone and installed again and for the Moment the problem Is solved!! The app have recognized my wife’s account. Perfect! Thank you so much for all. Simone
