Hi Steven,
It’s an open space, no walls in between. The router is 5m from one camera and about 10m from the other one. Signal is strong. I use 2.4 ghz. I tried it all, resetting, disconnecting, start from scratch. Nothing to do. The cameras are not recognised.
My Yi Cameras are no longer working with Google home. I have removed them from the app and also unlinked them from accounts.google.com. However when I try to relink my account I get the message (couldn’t update the setting, check your connection)
I also get the delay as experienced by @mirco
Thanks for the information. I am following up with the technical team on this one.
@balbyb Thanks for lettings us know. I will follow-up with you both shortly with more information
Here are some trouble shooting steps to try. We are looking into this further now. But please try these steps:
Step 1: Create a YI user account and set up a camera
- If you haven’t already, please download YI Home app or Kami Home app from the App Store or Play Store and create an account
- Follow the instruction to set up camera(s)
Step 2: Connect YI Home devices to Google Assistant - Download and open the Google Home app
- Tap the + symbol at the top left.
- Click “Set up device”.
- In the Set-Up page, select “Works with Google” at the bottom.
- Under “Add devices”, search “Yi Home Camera (if using a YI camera) or Kami Home Camera (if using a Kami camera)”.
- In the next step, select the region of the YI Home or Kami Home account. Enter your YI Home or Kami Home account email and password. Click “Login” to authorize Google to access your devices.
- Once linked, select cameras from the list and add them to a room.
Step 3: If you are streaming to a Nest Hub, make sure the device is set up. If you are streaming your camera to a tv with a Chromecast and Google speaker, make sure the device is set up.
Step 4: Control the YI Home or Kami Home cameras with Google Nest Hub or Chromecast with Google Nest speaker. - To show the camera, you can say “Okay Google",
- “Stream [camera name]” (Nest Hub)
- “Stream [camera name] on [Chromecast device name]” (Chromecast w/ Google speaker)
- To stop viewing the camera, you can say “Okay Google, stop” or "Okay Google stop [TV/Chromecast device name]"Note: Cross compatibility is supported with the use of either the YI Home or Kami Home app.

Thanks a lot for these instruction and I am pleased I could connect my Yi Cameras with Google Home Hub and Stream the Camera Content on the Google Display!
What I really next is: I have 2 Yi outdoor cameras to monitor for movement. I would like to see the live stream on Google Hub Display automatically as soon a movement is triggered.
Can the camera stream automatically trigger the Camera feed to be displayed on Google Hub Display as soon as movement is detected?
I would really love to this is working!
Hello. I am getting an error connecting the Home camera 1080P to Google Home app (v. 2.32.111) on IPhone 11 (v. 14.4). And for some reason I have no way to untie the connection (
Thanks for popping into the forum! Glad to have you more knowledge users around
Thanks for providing the phone model information.
We just have a couple more questions to help us diagnose and figure out the next step
Where you located? Region of the world is fine
How close are the devices to your wife routers? Make sure that the router, & phone are both connect to 2.4ghz instead of 5ghz
Whats the powers source for the camera and what model camera model is it?
If you’re not connecting the US region, give that a try and see if that will able to get you connected, then switch back to your actual region.
Let us know how any of these trouble shooting steps go and we’ll go from there.
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!
Hello. I cannot go to the region settings and cancel the synchronization, how can I do this? I have everything connect to 2.4ghz. The device with the router is very close. I can see the camera in the standard application YI, but there is an Google Home - error. Model - YI 1080p Home Camera AI. I’m in Ukraine. I don’t know what region was during synchronization, but I don’t know how to change it in the settings Google Home app, because I can’t get into the password and login window.
I use the YI Dome X, both of them have the same issue.
Apps and firmware are all up to date.
I use a Google Nest, iOS 14.4, region is set to USA in the phone, despite the physical location is in South-East-Asia.
