I have four YI Outdoor Security Cameras I’m going to install shortly.
I have the YI Home app installed on my iPhone.
I plan on setting up the cameras indoors and then take them outside and install them.
My question is that once the cameras are installed and working on my network if my router resets for any reason will the cameras reconnect to my wifi or do I have to go through the whole pairing process again where I have to climb up, rescan the QR code for each camera?

Hello what do you mean by “router resets for any reason” If you mean a restart or reboot of the router then no. Providing the wifi SSID remains unchanged.
If that changes then yes the set up process needs to be done again and the camera reset
If there’s a power outage the router will power off/on which basically resets the router.
My question is will the YI cameras reconnect automatically to the wifi?
Yes they will. Like any other wifi device. They may take 3-5 minutes to reconnect but they will do

What I would recommend to you is before you install outdoor cameras read all the information relating to best outdoor positioning.
Additionally why not set up one of your cameras indoor (to test) before installation
Outdoor. So you can learn how it works, how the motion detection works and test what you have asked but a controlled reboot or power off of your router.
Hey @Swiftrun Great question! My router goes out sometimes and the pairing process is not required again.
I had my wifi router in a spot that accidentally gets unplugged sometimes. But, never have to go through the pairing process again unless you get a new wifi router/network, or if the cameras are reset.
