Not able to view longer history on my SD card

I’ve used the latest version (24th Sep Update) for a while now and it appears to have resolved most the issues I had and reinstated the features that were removed for SD card users. I can now see 7 days of motion alerts and can directly link to the full clip on the SD card. Further back than that I can scroll the timeline which is fine and is how it was advertised when I bought the camera. As long as there aren’t plans to remove any of the features again I would happily recommend the cameras to others again.

The app is better with the latest update, but is still a little buggy compared to the version before the big update.

Please update to the most recent release. All has been resolved as you can see from others on the forum  please know we are constantly working to improve the overall experience and functionality of the app. The most recent release did not meet our high quality standard and will work in the future to improve. If you update to the most recent release, all will be well

@Steven_Kami I am on the latest update which was released on the 24th, I am hard capped to 3 days worth of recording , I cannot go further then this even by swiping the timeline. 128gb micro SD cards on two cameras. I used to get approx 10 to 14 days

Also missing the stream bitrate on screen and the ability to switch between HD and SD streams when viewing live.

It says no video recorder on SD card on [DATE] when i scroll back. Not true, i could see the video for those dates before updating app. I can still see it when i use SD card on my laptop.

I can still only see 3 days of video playback on my SD card… This is with my 128gb SD card, swapping cards to 64gb also gives me 3 days , 32gb also 3 days.

@Psisquare @retroisbest what version of the app are you both using? And, Are you on iOS or Android?

Hey Steven: how does one check what version of iphone app they have had installed by Yi ?

Go to the Apple App Store, search Yi Home, and you’ll be able to see the version you are running and if there is a new update available. Don’t tap on open, simply tap to open the App Store listing and don’t go to your updates menu but again search and find the app in the Apple App Store.

Android 10
5.1.1_20210929 version of Kami home
Samsung Galaxy s9+

AFAIK the android latest app is:

  • Yi Home 5.1.1_20210929 APK (Latest Version APK) • Updated: September 29, 2021• What’s New in Version 5.1.1_20210929:
    1. Improved camera activity page for easier navigation and usage
    1. Fixed SD Card Issues and improve usage behaviour
    1. Fixed timeline on fullscreen view
    1. Various Bug Fixes

…and to make matters worse I’ve just checked and I’m now limited to seeing two days on my SD card, dragging the timeline past this limit just keeps resetting the timeline

That should not be the case. You are able to use the calendar drop down menu and go back further.

Can you send us a screenshot of your app screen showing your inability to see past days?

Now its been a few weeks and Yi have released several new versions of the IOS app - have all the issues with timestamps, SD card recording, only being able to view playback in portrait etc - have all those issues been resolved in the V5 app?

The new Android app has a lot of crashes too since the update.

No… I still have a limited viewing of 3 days only for SD card playback. No timestamps on downloaded videos. I can view in landscape… Had an incident the other day where I had to go through some footage…took the SD card out and used my laptop as it’s easier to fast forward the footage, to only realise the folder timestamps are an hour out.

Thanks for the feedback @retroisbest that sounds frustrating. What app are you using? What version of the app do you have?

I´m having the same issue, but it record only for 1 day and dragging the timeline past, it just keeps resetting the timeline and showing current video (live).
Is it this issue solved? It´s so annoying!
