iOS app problems

Same here - on iOS no cameras loading and getting the message ‘invalid data format - please retry later’

Hi, just to add to the above comments. I have 2 cameras that I’ve had for a couple of years. They’ve been fine and I’ve viewed the via 4G earlier today. Just checked them now and it says neither are connected to the internet. Every other device in the house is fine apart from both cameras. I’ve reset both but the app won’t load properly, either a spinning circle or takes me to another option. I’ve tried to delete the cameras to reload them but it won’t let me delete either.

Same here on Android. Cameras have all been online for months until the last few hours… I have rebooted everything, but still no connection via app. All other internet connections in the house are fine.
App says “no connection” when I try and view account details and other settings, so I think it’s definitely a problem with Kami cloud.

I have this issue too. First time ever I’ve seen it happen…

Both YI and Kami, none of the cameras would load, they are located in multiple locations with 4 different routers.

This is an app issue of sorts… a solution would be great… and fast

I’m also on Android (posted here as unable to find an Android thread), but it seems like it’s a problem beyond which version of the app we’re on. Plus, the PC (Windows) version is doing “Send Http Fail(301)” on trying to log in (within less then five seconds). As with others here, all other devices on the wifi are fine, and the two cameras have been powered down and back on. The Android app is returning “Network connection timeout , please retry later” very quickly after pressing the login button. I uninstalled the app, and installed the Kami version, but that was acting similarly. On re-installing the YI Home app it’s now stuck on that login screen.

I hope it gets sorted out quickly, most of us have these cameras for very good reasons and rely on them for peace of mind.

Your setup pretty much proves the problem is at their end. Apart from a couple of brief hiccups, I’ve had no problem with them in two and a half years. Glad I found this forum, was starting to panic and look for different brands of cameras, and still hoping I’m not going to have to.

Please make support tickets, they are insisting the problem is with my router. Clearly is not.

I’ve filled in the form. As neither of our 2 cameras are working. Took the app off and reinstalled and now can’t get back on as says invalid data entry.

My cameras are back online now so seems to have been resolved

Agree…. Mine are now all back online. Obviously it was at their end. Edited: Pleased to see we had an update from @Steven_Kami.

Hello All,

Thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve the issue. There was a server issue that affected a number of users ability to fully connect. This issue has been resolved. We are working to improve latency, UI, and every aspect of the app to make it the best possible. We greatly appreciate your patience while we resolved the matter. Your feedback and contribution to the community forum are beyond important to us and we are glad that everything is back up and running.

Let me know if you have any questions or if there are any lingering issues that we need to address.

I hope all are having a lovely start to the week.

Hi, I have 3 YI 1080p in my house and since a few weeks ago they stopped working through the Kami Home app (and also through the YI Home app). I use an Iphone 11 with IOS 15.5.
I can see the cameras when I access the application using the wi-fi, however, I cannot see it when I access it via 4g.
Can anybody help me?

Just applied the iOS update 5.5.9 and the App is now constantly crashing.
Sort it quickly please as we are without cameras again.

WOW…. That was quick. V5.6.0 has fixed the crash.
Got to say it; this time you nailed it straight away… Nice one :+1:

Wife has reinstalled the app with 5.6.0 today and she can’t see any cameras I’ve shared to her.

Yet again a new software version screws up the software!!!
Version 6.0.1 installed on all iOS devices and now NONE of them have access to short video clips.

Come on…… This is basic software checks. I have mentioned this many times before:- “You simply SHOULD NOT release software that has not first been checked by a number of different users.

When I wrote software I NEVER EVER would send a release until it had been Beta Tested beforehand.

So, here we are yet again…… Software that has been screwed by the lack of developers concentration.
Now I cannot check any of the short video clips on SD Card.

What is wrong with YI Devs and support???
I made it public that there is an issue with the update of v6.0.1 in that it has screwed up short video playback of recorded movements using the SD Card.
Roll on a further 4 days and we have another update to v6.0.2 and guess what…… The issue is STILL THERE!
To have the issue brought in is inconvenient.
To not reply to my post is irritating.
To not correct the error in the next update is infuriating.

Totally unacceptable.

Over yet another week and still you cannot be bothered to read my comments, let alone fix the damn issue…and you wonder why so many do not like taking up a subscription to Cloud Support!
If you want a customer base then have the decency in looking after it.
My old team of developers would know full well how hard I would come down on them and customer support teams would definitely have gone into hiding…. I would not accept this from my teams, so why should I accept it elsewhere?
I have had it with this company, too many software and support issues from past which cannot be relied upon for correction.

Edited the following day:
Interesting……. Obviously someone has realised either an error, or decided to switch the function back on!
Tried the short recorded video replay again last night and would you believe it…. The function for SD Card users has been remotely turned back on again.
Mmmmmmm call me a sceptic but as I was in charge of a high profile devs team things like this were corrected either with a software update (which has not happened), a maintainer error or a rethink in switching the feature back on again.
So…… please comment?

I really do not know why I am bothering to waste my time here as no one from Yi or Kami will bother to reply but YET AGAIN LESS THAN 24 LATER I have ANOTHER problem with the cameras.
All of a sudden non of my cameras are showing any history from 21:20pm on the 17th June.
Yesterday I could access SD recordings for the 18th. Today all recordings from 17th June at 21:20pm onwards are not available to view. In other words it has been removed!
