Thanks for the heads up - I will keep you posted on our progress.
Well @Steven_Kami I don’t believe it……
This morning I noted there was an update to the iOS App. Thinking this will fix the zoom issue I updated and opened the App….
NO…. The zoom issue is still not fixed!!!
So, the devs know there is an issue, they release an update but do not address the problem.
What with the issues last year followed by this year and now this…. And some wonder why we are frustrated.
Your frustrations are warranted. This release was already planned before we were made aware of the zoom issue. Let me get an update on timeline for fix and get back to you as soon as I know more.
@Beards I’m having the same issue. Seems there is some kind of offset. Once zoomed in I can’t see or scroll to the top 3rd of image and there is a large black bar on bottom of image. As if the coordinates of the image are set off when zoomed in. This is frustrating because it used to work well and now the feature is broken. I have deleted and reinstalled the app which helped fix some other issues and of course running latest update. Still broken.
Release coming very soon, everyone. We really, really appreciate your patience. It should be in the next day or so. I will let all know when the release is live.
@Steven_Kami ~ After another week, patience no longer cuts it.
Three houses down over the road an attempted break-in.
I checked my footage but from within the App I cannot view their activity…… and why; simply because the App refuses to allow me to zoom into the top left of the activity.
In the end I had to save the activity as a video then use another App to view the zoomed in action….
After nearly a month in waiting for a fix….Do you honestly think this is now acceptable?
I do not. Let me see what I can find out. I know it’s in the pipeline. Apologies for the delay.
@Steven_Kami ~ It’s released… It just came pushed to iOS.
This though is the last and final time. Sorry but my patience has waned somewhat.
Errors such as this which are not minor issues, they should have been picked up by testers prior to release….
Your frustrations are warranted. We are putting together protocols and checks to address these issues. We hope to improve for future releases.
I’m using the Yi app on IOS iphone 11 with all updates and there is NO sound when recording a playback. Yes, my camera settings include microphone ON and toggle on. I saved to both icloud and SD card….nothing saves sound. Help!
Hey @SarahOmar Thanks for coming to the forum for more information. Can you please send me the following:

Thanks for your patience we will continue to dig and get this straightened out.
Just updated to v5.4.0 and happy to report all is well.
awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear all is back to normal.
Hi, since the last update to the app last year it seemed to have sorted the issue where I couldn’t access my cameras using 4G in the UK on the Three network.
Since I think my iPhone updated to iOS 15.3.1 the issue has returned. I’m using an iPhone 13 Pro.
The workaround last time was to switch my cellular down to 3G but now the iPhone doesn’t have that option.
The cameras connect on my phone when my phone is connected to WiFi whether that be at home, work or a friends house. It’s just when I’m on my cellular plan, either 4G or 5G. I have unlimited data on my plan and data roaming is turned on. Also the Kami home app is allowed to access data ???
This doesn’t sound like a Yi/Kami app. It would be good to post your issue to the Apple community.
But it’s only the Kami app that’s the issue? My phone works fine for everything else.
As I stated, I have had this issue before as have several other users in the past and switching to 3G fixed it. The iPhone doesn’t allow it to be switched to 3G with the introduction of 5G, only 4G or 5G now.
I can’t see how this could be an Apple issue?
This issue seems to only impact some iphone users (not all) and on the Three network. I had issues myself no longer. I also know of some users on the Three network in the UK who use iPhone and have issues but not all the time.
Yi looked into this before and couldn’t see an issue. Hence why asking on an Apple forum might bring some ideas
We have 3 cameras in my home about a year and i have problem to connect them from iphone x a month ago. We have 2 kids and it is important for us to have cameras. I have downloaded Yi home, Kami home. What can i do to solve this problem?
What problem are you getting?
When i get into the app it shows that tries to connect. Loading continuously. From an android phone Huawei p40 pro it connects immediately
