Ethernet connection

I have my camera installed near my modem, which is fine, but I would prefer to keep traffic off my WiFi and have it hardwired. I have it connected via Ethernet to the modem and the modem sees it as a connected device, but I can’t add it as a network device in the app. It shows me the option to do so, and even searches for it, but it can’t find it.

Hello @redtrek, sorry to hear about the problem you’ve encountered with the camera. The application will only recognize the YI cameras that are connected through a Wi-Fi network. It will not work if you connected the camera through an ethernet cable. The cameras are designed to connect to the app wirelessly.
