I live in the United States. I have not been able to creat an account using iOS app. After 3ntering email and password there is a line that asked me to tap what looks like a file. It is crayed out and will not create account

I was able to set up account with and android app. The iOS app would not display the code on my iPad but did display on my Mac not sure why. Now I am trying to have the camera scan the QR code on iPad but so far no luck. It’s dinner time so I am going to quit for now.
