yi home wifi camera, recording when detects movement

i have a yi home wifi camera model: H20WHITE , and i like to know how to do for recording when movement is detected.

Hello. To enable motion recording on your camera. Open your camera live view. Enter settings, scroll to storage and turn on Activity Detection Recording.

I don’t see “storage” in settings: https://postimg.cc/LJ3fqdbY

Sorry I cannot open that link

Hey @dostoyevski Thanks for coming to the forum for information. YorkShire recommended one way to turn on motion detection. But, another way is to go to the camera settings for the camera you’d like motion detection on. Then, under “Camera Settings” you’ll see the ability to toggle “Motion Detection” on.

Let us know how it goes

ok, im already able to record when movement detected. But is there a way for receiving an email or an alert on the phone when movement detected?

Yes you should get a phone notification and a six second alert via Yi cloud.

Take a look > https://help.yitechnology.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041035394-Alert-Notifications-in-the-YI-Kami-app

Hey @dostoyevski That is correct, you should receive an alert notification on your phone just like you receive alerts notifications for any app you allow too.

Email notification is not available as home screen alert notifications are more likely to be received in a timely manner.

If you’re having trouble with your notification settings, we advise that you check your phone settings and app settings to ensure all is set correctly.
