YI Home Camera 3, XYZ axis position movements?

For the YI Home Camera 3, I can see in various videos, that the camera stand can bend backward, so the camera is facing up… how far can the stand bend forward, so the camera is looking down?

Also, I see the camera head can pop out of the camera stand… can the camera head rotate 45 degrees within the stand, so I can monitor a walkway that’s 45 degrees relative to the camera?

Hi,

@ctny The YI Home 3 is a fixed camera so it can’t rotate. It can’t pan (horizontal) or tilt (vertically). However, the stand can adjust forward and back. With the stand in an upright position, the stand can tilt forward up to 45 degrees or back 45 degrees. The camera can be removed from the stand and operate anywhere with in reach of the power cord and Wi-Fi connection with the router.

I know once Yi Home 3 is put into a location, it does not move. My question was about adjusting the stand. I have a Wyze cam now that I am not happy with, so I am looking to replace it. However, notice below that the Wyze cam can be twisted up/down, left/right and front/back. It seems Yi Home 3’s stand can not move this way…

In any case, thanks for the explanation.

Hi,

@ctny This Wyze camera utilizes a 3-axis design. This allows the camera to point in any direction. Unfortunately, due to the hinge, the stand for the YI Home 3 can only tilt forward and back up to 45 degrees.

Hi @ctny is this location indoors or outdoors? The reason I ask is that photo looks like an exterior wall.

Hi, the camera is on my covered balcony’s wall, on the inside corner near the top. So no rain issue.
