Yi Dual-Lens camera unable to connect to wifi after firmware update

As title, I bought https://www.amazon.com/YI-Dual-Lens-Security-Expanded-Dual-Screen/dp/B0C71LQ85X and it worked fine for a while until I updated its firmware, then it won’t connect to wifi no matter what I do.

I noticed:

  • If I give it wrong password, it will complain about that so it’s talking to my router, but unable to establish the connection.
  • https://yitechnology.com/firmware/ shows no information about this model or its firmware. Heck this product isn’t even listed in Yi’s website…

Should I just return it for a different one with the right firmware?

Thanks, but I’m very concerned that this model isn’t showing up in the official website at all. Anyone else like me won’t be able to get any support resources on it. Can you take a look at that?

I have this exact issue. The camera connected to wifi fine before the urgent update, but it will not connect after the update.

Update…It seems that after the firmware update, I can connect to wifi where the password does not have special characters (things like ( + # %) but I always get a WiFi password error when special characters are in the wifi password. Hopefully, they will update the firmware to take care of this soon.
