SD went corrupted. Anything saved in the cloud that I can download?

Hello there, I hope everything is ok with you.

I have configured my YI for motion detection and I’m using an SD card. I’ve not paid for the cloud subscription service.

As it happens, my SD card was damaged and is illegible.

My question is as follows. Can I presume the videos are uploaded to the cloud in addition to being loaded to the SD card? Is there any way to recover the content from the cloud? It goes without saying that I would pay for the service, I’m not asking for it free of charge.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey @lualma Thanks for coming to the forum! I am so sorry to hear that your SD card was corrupted.

Are you an existing cloud subscriber?

We do not store video data without a cloud subscription. We have different storage lengths as well. Once, the storage length has come up, we do not keep the footage.

Privacy is a big concern of ours. And, not to mention storing all that extra data would be very costly.

This is one of the advantages of having the cloud sub set up.

I hope that answers your questions. Please let me know if there is anything other questions I can answer.

Thank you very much for your answer, @Steven_Kami.

No, I’m not a cloud subscriber. I’ve been using the SD card for storage.

Unfortunately the SD was accidentally broken and I had not been downloaded the videos from the last three days either to my device or my laptop, yet. I can not read the card anymore, therefore I’ve lost all the footage from those three days.

As per your entry, I understand that there is no other place where my videos are stored in addition to the SD card.

Nevertheless, I can still see the alerts and I can download the few frames associated to the alerts. I presume these few frames are in your cloud. Are these few frames the only ones you do store or do you store more? Should you store more frames than those few, it would be extremely important for me to be able to access them.

Thank you.
