Hi, I setup my camera over WiFi. I’ve now connected to my LAN using ethernet but the YI camera still shows WiFi connection in the settings, not ethernet. How do you set the camera to not use WiFi?
Thanks.

Hello @Zappos, the cameras only connect to a Wi-Fi network. Ethernet connection will not work on the cameras.
Any reason for the Ethernet port? Is this something for possible future development ?
What camera model do you have?
If this is in reply to myself I don’t have a camera with an Ethernet port but I have heard others who do so I was curious why the port is currently used for.
Sorry @YorkshireUser, I overlooked and replied to your comment, the ethernet port is available for the Kami base station, and a particular model which is the YI Dome Guard.
I have the Goowls outdoor camera that uses this software. It does have an ethernet connection. The software shows the LAN ip address not the WLAN but still shows the SSID. Using Fiddler I can see it is using ethernet connection and not WiFi so it is working as it should. The software is a bit confusing.
Ethernet is far more stable and much greater bit rate.
Hi, I appreciate this. I meant in reference to the Yi/Kami cameras. What the purpose was with them when it’s wifi connection only.
