No paired cameras in Win App, Share access

I just bought 3 Yi Dome Camera 1080.
I have managed to login and connect via the Android app, but in the Windows app (ver. 202003271500) it shows that my account has no paired cameras!

I also want to share the cameras with my wife, so she created an account and I invited her (through the Android app). So far though (more than 6 hours) she has received no invitation, although in my app I can see her as pending.

Hi @YiannisCellock welcome to the forum!

@Patrick can you please give some insight into this?

Hi,

@YiannisCellock Hi,

Please make sure you are signing into the Windows desktop app with the same region used to sign into your mobile (Android) app. The cameras are tied to the region the app is logged into when pairing the cameras.

Regarding sharing an account with another person, you will see the invitation as pending until the other person accepts the invitation. Please have the other person who is sharing your camera follow these steps. First, the other person needs to click on Discover from the home screen. Then click on Notifications. Click on Share device. Click on the account of the user who is sharing the camera. Click Accept Invitation. On the home screen, you will see the shared camera.

Regarding the share steps, are these for the Windows app or for the Android App?
I am interested to share the camera for the Windows app.

Regarding the Win and Android app being in the same region for the Win app to display the camera:
Android gets the location automatically. Windows app asks (fine print under the login form).
Here comes the bug: I live in Cyprus. Cyprus is officially in Europe. However so many lists include the country in Asia!
As soon as I changed the region from Europe to Asia and logged in, the camera was there on my Win app…

Hi,

@YiannisCellock The process to share and receive the camera is only supported in the mobile (iOS/Android) app. Once the other person accepts the invitation in the mobile app, the camera can be viewed in the desktop (Windows/MAC) app. You can only view the shared camera in the desktop app.

There is no bug. Cyprus is geographically part of Asia. However, Cyprus uses the Euro (Europe) as their currency so they associate with Europe.

Hola ami me pasa igual yo tengo en el PC la aplicación Kami Home y no reconoce ninguna camara, y la verdad yo quiero que se pueda ver en el pc ya que la idea es poner 4 camaras de no poderse ver no es interesante.

I am having the same problem the invitation, is not being sent out to the invitiy. I have been trying this for 2 weeks with two different invitiees finding the yi accounts I want to share the camera with, sending the invite and it died right there no invite is ever received
I do have another use that is still sharing the cameras from a few years ago but it has been impossible to add any new user at this time. Help

Nevermind  it’s all working now:roll_eyes:

Hi @Jstrum55 thanks for joining the forum. Did do something different to get it working?
