Kami vs Yi and dome camera keeps going off line.

Hi everyone

I’ve had Yi cameras for quite a white now, a month or so back I added a couple more and yesterday added another one this time is was branded Kami instead of Yi. I wanted an external one and the Kami one was the only one I could find.

Is it me but the Kami one seems to have Alexa show where as the other ones I purchased last month don’t although they said Alexa enabled as that is the reason why I bought them.

I don’t like this double brand thing, it’s putting me right off.

On another note, my dome 1080p camera keeps going off line and won’t come back on until I switch it off and on again. I’ve tried resetting it but it still does it. Anyone know how to fix it?

It’s not the network as the other cameras are still working and new one I bought yesterday is even plugged into the same outlet now.

I would first like to thank you for your support in our YI and Kami brand. To address your first concern, not all of our cameras display the Echo Show setting in our app. However, all YI/Kami cameras will stream to the Echo Show. Regarding your YI Dome 1080p camera, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  1. Move the camera next to the router and reboot your camera. (Unplug it for 5-10 seconds and plug it back in).

  2. Ensure there are no obstructions that may block the signal between the router and the camera. See if the connection is stable. If you are able to view the camera online next to your router, the Wi-Fi connection between the router and the original location is the issue.

If the problem still persists, please contact our customer support at support@yitechnology.com to further address this issue and try to resolve this matter.
