If I buy the standard cloud service, will I get more than 6 second motion clips?

Hello, I am interested in the STANDARD cloud service. I already use a micro sd, but I would like to click on a alert motion and have it play out more than the 6 seconds and NOT stop.

Does the standard subscription allow this? Please help

Hello.

Yes if you purchase a premium cloud subscription plan it will record whilst there is motion detected. Be mindful that why you think is motion and what the camera think is motion could be sightly different. You may still have to click through to view the complete clip.

There is also a plan will allows Continuous Video Recording (CVR).

With the premium plan there is no cool down with the alerts like there is with the free service.

Take a look here

There is also the possibility of using an SD card inside most Kami / Yi cameras.

Let me know if you need anything further.

Thank you so much for the response. I appreciate it. One more thing, the alert will capture what is in motion correct? How many seconds or minutes of motion will it capture? Is there a limit?

How I think the cloud subscription works is that the cloud will record motion as long as there is motion at the camera. I assume this will be for as long as there is motion which the camera is detecting.

I think the alert shown will still only be six seconds and you simply view the complete clip. Very simple to do.

I actually use SD cards not cloud so I will loop in @Steven_Kami who I am sure will be able to confirm how it works 100%.

What you could do is buy a monthly plan and if it’s not for you cancel it - you can cancel it at any time.

Thank you mate! I would love to use the “complete clip” feature but for me the when I click it , it simply does nothing. It’s almost like the button was disabled. I’ve heard heard multiple people say the same, kind of frustrating. I am on IOS , with an sd card (non stop recording) …could be a glitch. Maybe the next update can fix I hope

Cloud catches more motions if they’re closer together and they will appear as a longer recording.

You will see at the end of the recording I scroll back and you can see the different thickness of bars depending on length of movement

Thanks community! This is correct @Felixthecat23 with any cloud subscriptions, the entire motion of the clip is captured. Not just a 6-sec preview
