Getting consent drop outs and difficultly reaching the server message on Android app

For the last few weeks i have had issues with the YI app not connecting to my camera on my Samsung 9 phone, however on the PC it works with no issues, even now i am able to view the cam where on my phone i keep getting a message saying that We hare having difficultly reaching the server. App experience may be limited. Try again later (-3003). This only appears to be on my phone. the net is ok on it as i am able to browse the net. It appears to be an issue with the app. Any ideas

Hello what country are you in. What mobile network are you using and what data network are you connected to (I.e 4g).

UK, using the same wifi my pc is on and EE

Are you using 4g? Could you try forcing your phone onto 3G only and see if any change?

Alternatively you could try:

  • Removing your current app and reinstalling it.
  • Removing the Yi Home app and installing Kami Home. Log in using your current log in credentials.

I am using wifi not the phone but was thinking of trying the kami app, let me see what that does

Ah ok using the same wifi network as the pc via your phone. Sorry for my confusion.

Yes try the other app.

Other things to try is turning on and off the camera. Trying a reboot of your router and any wifi extenders. And maybe even a reset of your camera.

its not the camera or the wifi its the app i think, i am in the same room with the phone and PC and the PC is fine where the android app cant connect.

Ok try the kami home app or a reinstall.

so far i switch to the Kami app and it is fine so far, I was able to order another camera too how this appears to be working
