Firmware issue, product replacement… is this real?

Hello! So four or five days ago my Yi Camera 1080 just stopped working. It appeared offline on the app and even if I reset it, it will never connect/configure again. I thought it just broke.

But today I received an e-mail from “no-reply@kamihome.com“ telling me that I have maybe been affected by a bad firmware update that may have broken my camera. They sent me a typeform link asking for my address to send me a new camera for free.

Is this real? I mean, it is kinda suspicious to me. A free camera?
But at the same time, I didn’t write them for support, I didn’t notify that the camera was broken or anything…

Anyone in the same situation?
