Camera Yi Dome X pairing problem

Hello, I have a Yi Done X camera that worked without a problem. The camera had stopped working a few days ago and I decided to restart it. Then I fail to activate it. I follow all the steps, but finally the following message appears: Fail to acquire. Can you give me a hand?

Generally this is router related could you try bringing the camera closer to your router and try again.

Ensure that you are using the 2.4ghz network and not the 5ghz and that location settings are enabled on your mobile device and the Yi Home app is given permission to access it.

I would also recommend giving your router a reboot.

If the above doesn’t help try the following:

  • Use a paper clip to push the reset button in for a few seconds. The indicator light will start blinking.

The camera is now factory reset. Go through the same pairing process with the camera in the app using the instruction provided above.

The nature of this issue is:

During the camera pairing process, you may encounter an error message saying “Fail to acquire”. This occurs when you are setting up the camera in the app and you don’t hear the voice prompt “Waiting to connect” but still proceed with the setup in the app. The QR code doesn’t scan and you click Next at the bottom of the screen. The app times out and this error occurs.
